I have decided to take the blog off the internet. It started out with me wanting to share a story about a love that was strong and inspiring, so that other couples could see what kind of love it takes to make it through a life changing event such as a stroke. I also wanted people to know what a compassionate loving man Mike was. Some where along the way it turned into something else. I will continue to write because I do not want to forget the challenges that I have been faced with nor do I want to forget the ones that I've beaten. It will just be a private journal. It is also very therapeutic for me to write. It was hard for me to delete each page from here, I had put so much thought and time creating the blog, that every time I brought a page up, it brought back a memory and I enjoyed reading it again.
To my friends: Thank you for keeping up with our story, I couldn't begin to explain the real hardships that we endured during this time. There is so much more to write and I do want you to know that being in Colorado is good for me and I am thankful to be a bigger part of my family.
To my fellow stroke survivors: I hope that you were inspired to never give up on getting better and that you will write your own story. Heaven knows that you are all an inspiration to those around you and I'm sure that they want to hear more about your challenges, and how you are able to overcome them.
One final thought, always believe that our God is a good God and will give you strength and courage to fight any battle that comes your way. That is, if you believe in him and ask the Holy Spirit to be your helper and your guide throughout your life.
